Taking a Capricorn out to lunch -

There is a persistent rumour going about that those who are born under the sign of Capricorn are overly serious, responsible and dour. Whilst there may be some truth in the idea that they will err toward the more conventional side of life, when it comes to matters of a sensual nature, nothing could be further from the truth.

Capricorns are concerned with reputation. They are very aware of their public selves. They take pains to project an image of dignity and protocol. At Saturnalia, the stores were opened so that tables groaned with good things.  Having endured hard work, patience and limtation, Saturnalia was the time to let loose and merry make.

Capricorn is a sign that will enjoy luxury and abundance, but they DO NOT abide waste. Bear this in mind when hoping to woo them, or pay a hefty price.

You can take them to a fancy restaurant as confirmation of their importance in your life, but beware pretentious menus, or prices that reek of extravagance. Capricors cherish quality, as well as prudence. Nothing turns them off more quickly than an ostentatious and illconsidered display of wealth.

Choose your venue then based on reputation, and not social cache. This way, you demonstrate discerment as you fritter away your hard-earned wage.

If the budget doesn’t stretch to a place with two hats, have no fear. You will gain just as much kudos by demonstrating your sense of practical economy. One way to win a Capricorn’s heart is to show what can be achieved through love and perseverance, whilst operating under the confines a shoe-string budget. A well-considered platter, some good bread and a jug of good wine can often do the trick.

Capricorns will be just as appreciative of home-made goodies as they will of fine-dining with dignitaries. By demonstrating your sense of economy and comfortable domesticity, you send subtle signals that you would make a perfect, long-term mate. These are qualities highly sought after by Capricorn on the hunt. Even the ones who say they want to be free will be secretly assessing you for possible marriageability, in case an opportunity should arise that requires them to capitalise upon it.
