What personal data we collect and why we collect it
In order to send you your Stars Like You info we need your e-mail address. Stars Like You does not collect any other personal information that you do not expressly provide. Stars Like You will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, except to a third party as required to help us send your information to you.
We may also request non-personally identifiable information, also known as demographic and profile data, though this information is optional. We may use this data to improve our site and/or tailor your experience at our site, showing you content that we think you might be interested in, and displaying content according to your preferences. We may also share this information with others, such as advertisers interested in advertising with Stars Like You or our site, in aggregate, anonymous form, which means that the information will not contain any personally identifiable information about you or any other person.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
We use Mailchimp for our sign-up forms. All data collected is compliant with Mailchimp’s privacy policies which can be accessed here
The only information we store is that which you provide, including name, email, date of birth and personal preferences if supplied
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
