Ready To Rollercoaster?

Your 2020 Astrology Forecast

2020 is no joke now that the cosmos getting serious.

Be prepared for a wild ride and ready to get fierce!

If you are like us, then you are waving goodbye to 2019 with a sense of relief.

A tricky year full of Uranus clashes, Neptune-Jupiter alignments and all round “cray-cray” planetary energies left little opportunity to lie back and relax.

The new decade begins on a momentous note, between two eclipses plus Saturn and Pluto meeting in the sign of Capricorn, for the first time since 1518. Past Saturn-Pluto conjunctions have tended to coincide with major periods of social change – such as 1914/15 the start of WWI and the fall of the Ottoman empire, 1947/48 – the creation of India/Pakistan, North & South Korea, Palestine and Israel or the emergence of globalization under conservative economic forces in 1981-83. (Source – thanks Maggie Kerr!)

Therefore, 2020 stands out as a year to remember with big astrological cycles suggesting an epoch forming era is about to unfold. Several major planetary alignments will set off chain reactions that take many years to play themselves out.

Right off the bat, January brings us some of the most potent celestial signatures we will see all year, with the weekend of Jan 10 -12 featuring a Saturn Pluto conjunction, Cancer/Capricorn Full Moon lunar eclipse plus Uranus changing direction in Taurus.

Whatever occurs for you this weekend gives a good indication of the next 6 to 12 months ahead. Even if it’s just a thought process, pay attention to what comes to mind.

At a global level, the structures upon which society is built are very much being put to the test. Capricorn rules governments, banking, tradition, social structure, limits and foundations. In a nutshell, those things upon which civilization stands. We are being challenged to transform the ways we organize our society. With great power comes great responsibility.

This year is more than a wake-up call. It brings the unequivocal need to act.

Pluto entered Capricorn back in 2008, beginning a profound restructuring of global financial systems. Then, as Saturn also arrived in Capricorn18 months ago we have seen an unprecedented, shocking escalation in environmental tragedies.

Now we see the truth for what it is, it is time for us to fix it.

There is no point talking astrology if we are not also talking climate change. No self-respecting aficionado of all things astrological can deny the fact that our planet is in dire need of help.

What’s the point wondering what Pluto is doing to your chart whilst marching blindfolded into species collapse?

It high time we who love the Stars make sure we also love the Earth as much. Whilst the fact you are reading this post probably means you are already way in front of the curve when it comes to climate change, we can’t afford to scroll through horoscopes if we are not also taking direct action to transform the status quo

In the wise words of RuPaul – “If you can’t love yourself then how the hell you gonna love somebody else???” The same goes for our planet. If we don’t take care of the home we got how in the hell we gonna make the most of a juicy Jupiter Venus contact?

So – in case you’re still more concerned with what’s happening to you astrologically than you are with what’s happening outside your front door – 2020 is time to WAKE UP!!

Double-Capricorn Greta Thunberg leads the way. Taurean Sir David Attenborough is showing us the facts. And Leo Boyan Slat is creating the future with pioneering technology that could clean up 90% of our ocean waste.

Get on board here if you care about seeing his vision for The Ocean CleanUp succeed.

This is after all the Age of Aquarius, and all the biggest revolutions will come through science and technology. Science is what got us here and science is the way forward.

The other major piece of planetary information for 2020 is Jupiter’s presence (in Capricorn also). Jupiter will spend all year in this sign, highlighting the need to create lasting success through hard work, planning and due diligence.

Where 2019 allowed scope for overselling and free-wheeling, Jupiter in Capricorn pulls hard on the reigns of Necessity and reminds us all that nothing worthwhile is achieved if it has not been earned.

Jupiter meets up with Pluto late March, June and then November, highlighting these months as peak creative phases. Then December brings an epoch making Grand Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius (three cheers for innovation!) that will define the next two decades ahead.

What is a Moon Sign

What does the Moon Sign mean?

The Moon Sign in astrology describes the instinctive and emotional part of your nature. It reveals your innate reactions, and what you need to feel comfortable or secure. Your Moon Sign illuminates your emotional, genetic and intuitive makeup. This will help you understand your needs and how to have them met.

It’s really important to know that whilst your Sun Sign describes qualities you are learning to develop and become, your Moon Sign shows what you already are.

We can think of The Moon therefore as the support actor, for she is the one who fills out the script and makes it realistic and believable. Equally as important in terms of your overall personality, together the Sun and Moon combine to drive much of your unique personality.

The Moon describes your usual responses, the bottom-line position to which you fall back as you make your way through the world. It is most common for us to behave more like our Moon sign when we are young, and then as we grow the strengths of our Sun sign start to emerge

What Is A Birth Chart?

Astrology Birth chart

The Mechanics of The Chart

Your birth chart (or natal chart) is a map of the heaven’s, relative to the time and place that you were born.  This map shows areas of strength and opportunity, as well as weakness and challenge. Your birth chart is a powerful tool which can also show how things are likely to unfold through time, as well as what is happening for you at the moment.

How Does It work?

Let’s have a look at a chart to get a sense of what all the lines and symbols mean.

The wheel running around the outside represents the circle of The Zodiac, which allows us to position exactly in the sky where each planet was when you were born. The Zodiac is an imaginary band that is projected out into space from Earth. It is a wonderful tool, because it allows us to know where all the bodies in our solar system are, relative to us.

Astrologers use the chart to create a snapshot of the moment you draw your first breath, mapping the position of the planets back down to earth to make it exactly relative to the time and place of your birth. This then becomes your unique map, or blueprint, and can guide you throughout your life. READ MORE >>
